Condensed one-week certification programs offer career-focused wine education for professionals and serious enthusiasts.
July 17, 2025 (Philadelphia, PA) — The Wine School of Philadelphia has opened enrollment for its 2025 Summer Wine School, a condensed, high-impact training series designed to help wine professionals earn top-tier certifications without leaving their day jobs. Two core offerings headline this year’s program: the Accelerated Core Sommelier Program and the Advanced Italian Wine Specialist Certification, both accredited by the National Wine School.
The Accelerated Core Sommelier Program offers a complete certification track—covering wine theory, tasting methodology, and service techniques—in just one week of evening classes. It’s designed for sommeliers-in-training, hospitality staff, and retail professionals who want to level up their skills fast.
Also on the docket is the Advanced Italian Wine Specialist Certification, a one-week intensive that goes deep into Italy’s premier wine regions and DOC/DOCG structures. This credential is nationally recognized and structured for working professionals seeking advanced specialization without the travel and downtime of traditional study formats.
Throughout August, the Wine School will also host member-exclusive tasting events and public classes focused on skill-building, networking, and sensory education.
