Armenia to Debut at Wine Paris 2025

Vine and Wine Foundation of Armenia announces first-ever national pavilion at premiere global event

Yerevan, Armenia – February 12, 2025 – Armenia, a rapidly emerging democracy with a deep tradition of enoculture, will participate this month for the first time in Wine Paris 2025, one of the world’s premier industry events. This marks a significant milestone, presenting an opportunity to showcase the South Caucasus country’s unique winemaking heritage on a global stage.

The Armenian national pavilion (4B183) will feature 21 esteemed wineries, showcasing the country’s rich terroir and distinctive wines. Among the participants are Alluria Wines, Armenia Wine Company, and Gevorkian Winery, alongside many others representing the diverse landscape of Armenian viticulture and winemaking.

The event will be attended by Armenia’s Ambassador to France, Arman Khachatryan, who views participation in Wine Expo 2025 as a significant opportunity for Armenia. “France, with its rich wine culture and substantial consumer base, is the third-largest export market for Armenian wines, offering considerable growth potential. This makes it an ideal environment for introducing and promoting Armenian wines,” he Ambassador Khachatryan said.

Taking place from February 10-12 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Wine Paris is one of the most prestigious gatherings in the wine industry. The 2024 edition welcomed over 4,000 exhibitors from 48 countries and attracted 41,000 visitors from 137 nations, including top buyers, distributors, and sommeliers from around the world.

“Though Armenia is one of the oldest winemaking regions in the world, it has been experiencing a wine renaissance in recent years. We’re proud to participate in Wine Paris 2025, where we will enhance awareness of this rich wine tradition,” said VWFA Executive Director Zaruhi Muradyan. “This event provides a unique opportunity to present the diversity and excellence of Armenian wines to a global audience, strengthening our presence in key international markets.”

Armenia is gaining increasing recognition for its indigenous grape varieties, distinctive volcanic terroir, deep-rooted traditions and millennia old wine-making history. Its increasing global activity marks an effort to elevate its global profile, expand export opportunities, and foster new trade partnerships. Notably, the country’s wine export geography expanded from 15 countries in 2016 to 39 countries by 2024, resulting in growth in both production and consumption.

Wine enthusiasts, industry professionals, and media representatives are invited to visit the Armenian Pavilion to explore the country’s extraordinary winemaking craftsmanship and heritage, and discover the stories behind every bottle.

Other participating wineries include: Hin Areni Wine, Jraghatspanyan Winery, Krya Wines, Koomroot Wines, Khaluli Wines, Manukyan Wine, Moonq Wines, Manukyan Brandy Company, Nor Areni Winery, Noa Wines, Qotot Wines, Savar Wines, Stork Wines, Voskeni Wines, Voskevaz Winery, Van Ardi Wines, WineArt Winery, and Karas Wines.
