New William Chris Wine Company Partner Opens Doors with 10th Anniversary Wine Release and International Women’s Day Event

February 29th –  William Chris Wine Company is excited to announce the opening of Wine for the People’s new location in Fredericksburg, Texas. Winemaker Rae Wilson, an influential leader in the Texas wine scene, announced late last year that she would be joining forces with William Chris Wine Company (WCWC) to integrate her Wine for the People brands Dandy and La Valentía into the WCWC portfolio. The new location opened at 113 E. Park St. in Fredericksburg this month and will continue to celebrate the opening with several events, including the 10th anniversary of Dandy Rosé and an International Women’s Day event. 

On Friday, March 8, in celebration of International Women’s Day, Wilson will host a winemaker social from 5 to 8 p.m. Shelly Wilfong, of the This Is Texas Wine podcast will moderate the event, and it will feature conversations with female winemakers Wilson, Bénédicte Rhyne of Rhyne Wines, Jaclynn Renée van Sant Downes of Jaclynn Renée Wines and Nikhila Narra Davis of Kalasi Cellars. For $20 a ticket, guests will receive a glass of the 2023 Dandy Rosé, light bites, conversation with the featured winemakers and tastings from all of the featured wineries. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Grace Center of Fredericksburg. Tickets for the event can be purchased online

On Saturday, March 9, Wine For the People will host the Dandy Rosé 10th Anniversary Release Party from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at their Fredericksburg location.  A ticket to the event includes a glass of Dandy and three La Valentía wine tastings. In addition, the celebration will have live music, wine glass and bottle service and Garbo’s Lobster available for purchase. Tickets to the event are available online

Wine for the People will also have a Dandy Rosé pick-up party in Austin on Sunday, March 10, at The Frances Modern Inn from 3 to 6 p.m. The events will feature light bites from the newly opened Poeta Restaurant
