Kick off new year with WSET and Texas Wine Ambassador Certification Classes in the Texas Hill Country

February 12th – William Chris Wine Company (WCWC) is excited to announce the 2024 Hill Country Wine Academy classes. The school, which launched in April 2023 as the William Chris Wine School, is a provider of WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) and Texas Wine Ambassador Certification courses. In the new year, the school will be known by its new name, Hill Country Wine Academy.

Hill Country Wine Academy is dedicated to growing the Texas wine industry by inspiring and educating connoisseurs and professionals alike. Over the last year, Hill Country Wine Academy helped 427 students gain various wine certifications through their courses. Depending on the level, students will learn about the decisions that go into winemaking and working in a vineyard, principal grape varieties of the world and their characteristics, select regional styles of wine and more. The Texas Wine Ambassador Certification course is exclusively offered through the Hill Country Wine Academy and takes attendees through the basics of what it takes to make the wine industry successful in Texas. In attending the courses, students are also provided lunch for the full-day classes, additional experiences and lodging options in the area, and access to ongoing educational content and support.
