The airline completes the selection of wines on its Air menu with the ecological, sustainable and vegan rosé from Spain’s leading canned wine brand. 

The agreement reached with Gateretail guarantees coverage of the entire fleet, which means an average of 12 million passengers per year.

Barcelona, January 2024 – Owned by the company Mindful Drinkers, the Spanish brand of canned wine Zeena has started the year in style, introducing itself at “Air”, the Air Europa attractive menu on board. Mediterranean in style, it is designed by the world’s leading airline retailer Gateretail with the intention of offering passengers gastronomic experiences that are as delicious as they are innovative, and committed to the environment. 

Born in 2020, ZEENA is the Spanish brand of reference that produces the most natural, versatile and sustainable canned wine. Prioritizing the quality of its raw materials and its strong environmental commitment, it produces young organically grown wines, free of additives and added sugars, and with vegan certification. In addition, they are packaged in recycled and 100% recyclable aluminum cans, protecting the contents with an internal VINSAFE film that keeps aroma and flavor unaltered. For all these reasons, and for reducing transport and storage costs by being lighter and easier to move than glass, it is the perfect option for pairing any of the proposals on the Air Europa in-flight menu.

The first reference chosen was one of the brand’s top sellers, Zeena Rosé, as it is a differentiating, innovative and incremental product that enriches the range as a whole. It is made from red Garnacha from Terra Alta (Catalonia), with a delicate salmon pink tone, fruity and floral aroma, and notes of red fruit. It is now present on the entire Air Europa fleet – domestic, European, Latam and USA – both short and medium haul and long haul, which means an average of 12 million passengers a year.
