December 21, 2023 – Breakthru Beverage Group has bolstered its sales leadership team as part of a growth initiative since acquiring Wine Warehouse in April. The new appointments under the leadership of Trevor Thiret, Senior Vice President of Sales include John Sladek as Vice President of Sales, Northern California and Kristen Demergian as Vice President of Sales, Southern California. All will work closely with California Executive Vice President Tandy Harvey to drive sales growth and develop innovative strategies to connect with customers and consumers across the state.

Sladek is a results-driven leader with focused wine industry experience that includes several sales and strategy roles of increasing scope and responsibility across the country, with a proven track record of success in each. He has been part of the Breakthru team since 2018, when he started as an Illinois Sales Director for a team of more than 100 associates supporting multiple wine suppliers, and most recently held the role of VP of Sales, Wine, with Breakthru Colorado.
Demergian has extensive California market knowledge, and a wide range of leadership experience in distribution and at the supplier tier. Her passion for developing talent and proven track record of building winning cultures aligns closely with Breakthru’s values. Most recently, Demergian was Head of Sales for Firestone Walker Brewing Company.
