Join us for winemaker dinners, library wines & verticals, culinary events, tours, and, of course, a Tidrick Weekend to Celebrate our Festive Boontling Heritage!

Boonville, Calif., October 10, 2023 – Celebrate harvest Boontling style (a lingo native to Anderson Valley). The weekend of November 4 & 5, Anderson Valley will be hopping with bahler gorms (exceptional eats) and frattey (wine).

In Anderson Valley, harvest started late this year but what a harvest it has been…..and will continue to be as we celebrate yet another year of wealth from both the land and sea throughout our Northern California region.

Mendocino County and its stunning coastline is wonderful anytime of year but, when celebrating harvest of our grapes, fruit and other bounties here in Anderson Valley, it’s time for a “Tidrick” or party in our local language of Boontling.

Come all Fall for ongoing celebrations but the weekend of November 4-5, 2023, has many of our wineries opening their doors with special pours, tours and culinary offerings that enhance our already exemplary wines and give our wine fans a bit more to celebrate. Some highlights include:

  • Stop by for some popular Chenin Blanc paired with pumpkin flatbread from the kitchen of Weatherborne winemaker Cris Carter, both a talented chef & a guy who makes good wine.
  • Our newest winery, Brashley, a hit at last year’s Tidrick, will have chef Sean do it again with his creative approach paired with winemaker Ashley Holland’s latest wines.
  • Sparkling house Roederer Estate, will offer a special elevated sushi experience to pair with their Brut, Blanc de Blanc and Brut Rose and vintage L’Hermitage.
  • Pizza from their estate wood-burning oven & a round of disc golf can be found at Meyer Family Cellars, where they offer an array of wines from both Anderson Valley and Napa.
  • Sea Wolf Wines answers the call of the wild with their ocean and surf-inspired dry farmed Zinfandel paired with the famous Hippie Dust popcorn.

To keep things interesting, weekend guests can play Boontling games and win Boontling SWAG and tickets to other Anderson Valley events. See all of the Tidrick weekend offerings and reserve your visit in advance, although some wineries will be able to accommodate walk-ins. https://avwines.com/harvest-tidrick-celebration/

Visit Mendocino, the main tourism agency for the region, has put together a slew of wonderful harvest activities at inns, restaurants, wineries and tourist attractions throughout the county.
