Women for WineSense Presents “Next Generation Mentoring That Works,” Wednesday, May 10, 2023

NAPA / SONOMA, CALIFORNIA |May 10, 2023:  On Wednesday, May 10, 2023, from 3:00 – 5:30 p.m. PT, the Napa | Sonoma chapter of Women for WineSense’s (WWS) Winemaking & Viticulture Roundtable will host “Next Generation Mentoring that Works.” The Roundtable will feature a panel of leaders in winemaking, viticulture, marketing and more sharing the latest findings from groups and individuals actively collaborating to create new structures and practices that work to open significant, scalable new opportunities in wine industry mentoring. The Roundtable will be held at St. Helena’s acclaimed Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch with an additional online livestream.   The event will be hosted by long time WWS member and Long Meadow Ranch Director of Winemaking, Lissane Leask and the Farmstead team. Farmstead is located at 738 Main Street, St. Helena, CA, 95474.

ABOUT THE EVENT

Early arrivals will meet at 3:00 p.m. to enjoy mingling and catching up with peers and our speakers while sampling an assortment of Long Meadow Ranch wines in the event barn at Farmstead.  At 3:55 p.m., after reconnecting at an hour-long tasting and networking session, the program will begin. A lively question and answer session will follow the presentation. 

Discussion topics will be tailored for wine and related industry general managers, senior level leaders, recruiting and front line team managers as they seek alliances, new tools and insights to recruit and retain talent. This dynamic one hour networking reception of attendees from wineries, vineyards and related industry and regional attendees will be followed by an expert panel discussion featuring expert mentors and GMs leading winemaking, viticulture, marketing and more. All will share fresh insights and details about what’s really working now based on three years with the 100+ mentee Bâtonnage Mentorship Program and several other effective wine industry mentoring programs and organizations.

The expert panelists are leaders in multiple wine industry organizations including Jessica Koga, Winemaker, Schramsberg Vineyards & Davies Vineyards, Priyanka French, Winemaker, Signorello Estate, Katie Canfield, Partner / Owner, O’Donnell Lane, and Elizabeth Vianna – Winemaker / GM, Chimney Rock.

This event is open in person to active WWS members and non-members that are pre-registered by 2 p.m., May 10, 2023 at this weblink. Attendees are asked to either bring a bottle or two of wine to share or pre-pay online admission. As an additional benefit, people can also virtually attend by registering and requesting a private Zoom link.
