Flying Goat Cellars Hosts Reception for Mosaic Artist Kathleen McCabe-Martin

Lompoc, CA (February 8, 2023) –  Mosaic artist Kathleen McCabe-Martin has had a selection of her exquisite mosaics installed at Flying Goat Cellars Tasting Room & Art Salon since January.  A reception will be held for her on Friday, February 17, from 4-6pm at the Tasting Room, located at 1520 E. Chestnut Court in Lompoc. All are invited to attend, meet the artist and see her work.

Kathleen McCabe-Martin has been a mosaic artist for over 20 years.  She studied with several master teachers: Laurel True at the Mosaic Art Institute, Oakland, CA; Laurel Skye Mosaics in Arcata, CA; and numerous classes with  prestigious and award winning US mosaic artists and teachers.  From 2008 – 2018, Kathleen attended mosaic schools in Ravenna, Italy; Rome, Italy; London, England; and Todos Santos, Mexico. 

Kathleen’s Mosaico di Vetro is predominately a commission based and community projects mosaic art business. To see a few of her commissioned art pieces in Lompoc, you can also visit Cold Coast Brewery and PCH Street Wine Bar. Other public works include Community School Mural Project at Mission San Jose Elementary multipurpose room exterior in Fremont, CA.

Several of Kathleen’s mosaics are available for sale at the Tasting Room and will be on exhibit through mid March. Kathleen is also accepting new commissioned work. She can be reached at kmcabe1@comcast.net.

Flying Goat Cellars is a family owned and operated winery dedicated to producing age worthy Pinot and sparkling wine. Winemaker Norm Yost has been winemaking for over 44 years and launched his Flying Goat brand in 2000 and his Goat Bubbles brand in 2005. He specializes in Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and traditional méthode champenoise sparkling wine. The Tasting Room is located at 1520 E. Chestnut Court in Lompoc. The hours are Thursday-Monday 11am-4pm.
