July 25, 2022 (Palm Beach, FL) – The Royal Poinciana Plaza is delighted to announce that each Saturday beginning July 30th, internationally renowned Master Sommelier Virginia Philip and team will be hosting intimate, pre-reserved tastings for guests. Philips owns and operates her eponymous wine shop at The Royal and became just the 11th woman in the world to earn Master Sommelier accreditation in 2002
Virginia Philip Wine Spirits & Academy is the perfect elevated experience for couples, a group of friends, a family get together, or business associates. For $55 per person for groups of 2 – 8, attendees will be able to enjoy small bites from Sant Ambroeus and tastings of the following wines:
- Broadbent Vinho Verde- Portugal
- Domaine du Nozay Sancerre Blanc- Sancerre, France, 2020
- Caroline Parent Moulin a Vent en Montperay- Beaujolais, France, 2018
- Antinori Guado al Tasso Il Bruciato- Bolgheri, Italy, 2020

She became just the 11th woman in the world to earn Master Sommelier accreditation in 2002, and since has continued to be a trailblazer, earning a heap of accolades from being named “Best Sommelier USA” to an honoree for the inaugural Women in Wine & Spirits Awards.
In addition to owning and operating her eponymous wine shop here at The Royal, Virginia acts as the Wine Director for The Breakers and holds a doctorate degree in Oenology.
