Audrey Frick to Expand Role with JebDunnuck.com

12 May – Noted wine-critic Jeb Dunnuck, owner of JebDunnuck.com, announced today that he will expand coverage from the current offerings to now include Oregon and Champagne as well as shift coverage for Sonoma to Audrey Frick.

Audrey Frick, who joined JebDunnuck.com in 2020, will now be responsible for the Sonoma report formerly covered by Jeb Dunnuck. Frick will also be responsible for new reports covering the regions of Oregon and Champagne.  In addition to her current coverage of Piedmont and Brunello which will resume in January of 2023, she will also undertake special reports from other Italian regions and producer highlights from Italy.

“It has always been my aim to offer comprehensive, consumer-focused coverage of the most interesting wines from around the world and I am now excited to include Oregon and Champagne in that line-up,” said Dunnuck. “I am thrilled that Audrey Frick will expand her role as a contributing editor covering Sonoma, Oregon, and Champagne. Audrey’s first reports on Brunello and Piedmont were stellar examples of what readers expect from JebDunnuck.com.”

“I am excited to be expanding my role with JebDunnuck.com and taking the reins for Sonoma as well as leading the charge for new coverage with Oregon and Champagne,” said Frick.  “I have long admired and enjoyed working with Jeb and his approach to wine criticism.  Wine criticism can highlight wine’s strengths and help inform the reader on what to drink, when to drink it, and what to have on the table alongside it and I look forward to bringing insights to the subscribers of JebDunnuck.com.”

Frick honed her knowledge of wine after a 4-year tenure at Frasca in Boulder, CO, where she worked her way from the back office to the wine team while studying to earn the Advanced Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers. She then joined Frasca’s sister restaurant Tavernetta, in Denver, as a member of its opening wine team, before becoming lead sommelier. There, she worked to foster a culture of wine education for the staff, with an all-Italian wine list. 2020 brought Frick to NYC where she joined One White Street as their opening wine director focusing on small, family-owned wineries from around the world.  Frick will depart her post at One White Street in May of 2022 to work full-time with JebDunnuck.com.

Frick is based in New York City.

Dunnuck will continue to focus on the wines from California, Washington, Southern France, and Bordeaux.

Dunnuck’s goal with JebDunnuck.com is to provide insight and up-to-date information that can’t be found anywhere else. “There’s been a disappointing trend in wine criticism, with many publications moving away from keeping the consumer top of mind,” Dunnuck said. “I want to be the go-to publication that helps consumers cut through the marketing and the spin to zero in on what’s in the glass. I plan to continue to deliver the information consumers really need to know when trying to decide what to buy and what to drink.”
