Where the focus has always been on the very finest wines in Burgundy and Bordeaux, from the finest producers — the icons. Ahead of his time, Mr. Lau’s collection was assembled over 30 years, a period when it was still possible to source large quantities of the very rarest of wines, with the right degree of dedication and vision. This sale is very much a celebration of his aptitude in recognizing the rarest and very best, and a full display of his attention to provenance. We look forward to sharing these true legends and icons of the wine world from the visionary collector, with wine connoisseurs around the world in our live auction next month.”

Michelle Chan, Head of Wine, Christie’s Asia Pacific added, “Every treasured bottle in Mr. Lau’s prestigious collection represents the holy grail for sophisticated wine collectors, who marvel at the owner’s dedication and focus on the most iconic vintages from esteemed producers.
