St. Paul, Minn. – September 28, 2021– Prestige Beverage Group announces the addition of Prosecco Rosé D.O.C to the award-winning line of Astoria Italian wines available in the United States. Prosecco is currently the number one selling wine coming out of Italy, not only for the Sparkling Wine varietal, but for the wine category overall1. Building off consumer’s thirst for Prosecco wines, Astoria Prosecco Rosé D.O.C. is made up of 85% Glera and 15% Pinot Noir.
Grapes are hand-harvested in small lots from the Astoria Wines estate vineyards to produce the highest quality product. The new varietal is pale pink in color with continuous fine bubbles. It has aromas of red fruit and flowers followed by harmonious flavors of bright cherries and hints of strawberry, finishing creamy and well balanced.
A family owned and operated winery, led by brothers Paolo and Giorgio Polegato, Astoria Wines is one of the biggest names in the Prosecco world. Its estate was founded in 1987 and has grown to be the leading private Conegliano-Valdobbiadene DOCG wine maker, with countless accolades from top wine competitions globally.
