Gary Farrell Wines LogoHealdsburg, Calif. (May 18, 2020) – Gary Farrell Winery is adding a virtual twist to the winemaker dinner, a popular wine industry format for customers to get to know a winery and its wines over a meal with the winemaker. Starting in late May, Gary Farrell Winery will introduce the Sunday Supper Virtual Winemaker Dinner, a series of three virtual wine events conducted through Zoom.

The Sunday Supper Virtual Winemaker Dinner launches with three dates, May 24, May 31 and June 7, each coinciding with dinner time in a different U.S. time zone. For the event, Gary Farrell Winery will provide three wines and easy-to-make recipes for a three-course dinner, as well as a detailed shopping list and preparation timeline. Guests will prepare their meals at home in advance of the start time, before joining the event via Zoom with other guests from across the country. Each event will be hosted by winemaker Theresa Heredia and estate sommelier Tiffany Kuhn, with Heredia introducing each wine and fielding questions. Guests will be encouraged to share their meal preparation on social media using the hashtags #dineonline and #stayhome and tagging Gary Farrell Winery in their posts.

Wines for the Sunday Supper Virtual Winemaker Dinner include the Gary Farrell 2014 Chardonnay, Bacigalupi Vineyard; 2014 Pinot Noir, Rochioli-Allen Vineyard; and Dulcette, a Port-style dessert wine. The wines were selected to pair with the recipes, which include a first course of White Bean Crostini with Kale Pesto, a main course of Lemon & Herb Roasted Chicken with Yukon Potatoes & Crispy Spring Vegetables, and a dessert of Dulcette Marinated Berries with Honey Whipped Mascarpone.

The Gary Farrell Sunday Supper Virtual Winemaker Dinner costs $185 – $370, which includes either a three-bottle selection or a six-bottle selection, shipping, shopping list, recipe cards, printed dinner menu and preparation timeline. Dates and times are May 24, 7pm Eastern time; May 31, 7pm Central time; and June 7, 7pm Pacific time. Reservations are required and can be made by contacting concierge@garyfarrellwinery.com or by visiting https://mailchi.mp/garyfarrellwinery/xi58l73ax5.

About Gary Farrell Winery

Gary Farrell Winery was founded in 1982 by Gary Farrell, who was a pioneer in the Russian River Valley wine region. For more than 30 years, Gary Farrell Winery has crafted small-lot artisan wines that capture the balance and stylistic elegance of some of the finest vineyard sites in the region. Farrell sold the winery in 2004, and today the winery is owned by Bill Price, the managing partner of Kistler Vineyard and owner of Three Sticks and The Adobe, Lutum and the famed Durell and Gap’s Crown vineyards; and a group of investors including Pete Scott, the former CFO of Beringer Wine Estates; and Walt Klenz; former president and CEO of Beringer Wine Estates. Winemaker Theresa Heredia is nurturing Gary Farrell’s legacy of producing small lots of Burgundian-styled, varietally expressive and regionally distinctive Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.  Additional information on the winery is available at www.garyfarrellwinery.com.
