SEATTLE, WA, August 26, 2019 / — WineBid, the premier global online auction for fine and rare wine, announced another excellent quarter in online wine sales. The company reported over $6.7M in auctioned wine, with over 58,000 bottles “experienced” by winning bidders. Over 70,000 unique visitors came to the site each month in the second quarter, making WineBid.com the largest website for buyers and sellers of fine wine.

Some of the top selling lots included the 2000 Domaine de la Romanee-Conti Romanee Conti, won at $13,000, a magnum of 2012 Domaine de la Romanee-Conti La Tâche, for $7,500, and a 2000 Domaine Georges Roumier Musigny, won at $7,000. WineBid provides exceptional service to its consignors. “I could not be happier with the professionalism you provided, the accuracy of your appraisal, the quality of the auction website and the ease with which I could follow progress in selling off my wine collection,” said a Washington state consignor. “The checks have been coming each week and currently there are only three more wine parcels left to sell. I have recommended your auction service to many friends. You can count me as a very satisfied seller!”

“We are seeing very healthy demand for fine wine in the global online market, with a younger, digital-first generation wanting the best end-to-end experience,” said WineBid CEO Russ Mann. “It’s about the wines and more. WineBid is all about sharing great experiences and stories. It’s the excitement of winning a rare bottle at auction, and the satisfaction of selling a curated collection to the next proud owner. And it’s the experience when a unique or rare bottle is shared with family or friends. We treat every single bottle as a great experience that’s about to unfold, and a memorable story that’s waiting to be told.”
