Rachelle Mudaliar & Emily Floyd Open New Era of Elevated Guest Experience & Collector Reach
Napa, CA, July 1, 2019: Coombsville boutique winery Covert Estate enters an exciting new chapter this summer with the arrival of Rachelle Mudaliar as Estate Director, and Emily Floyd as Director of Hospitality & Sales. The new hires support Covert’s meteoric growth trajectory since its founding in 2012, continuing to elevate the hospitality, offerings and reputation in the world of serious wine collectors.
Rachelle Mudaliar will join Covert July 9th as Estate Director, ensuring a seamless brand experience nationally and deepening the winery’s relationships with collectors. Her past experience in hospitality roles includes work with respected brands like Terra Valentine, Mending Wall, and Heitz Cellar. She also co-founded and operated a successful Napa Valley-based tour business, RAM Wine Country Tours—giving her an invaluable perspective on guest expectations and experience. Mudaliar grew up in the rich diversity and culture of Los Angeles and moved to the Bay Area in 1999. Her mother, local real estate broker Jacqueline Wessel, introduced her to the abundance of wine country and she has lived in Napa Valley since 2013.
Northern California native Emily Floyd joins the Covert team July 15th as Director of Hospitality of Sales, responsible for advancing the guest experience, and further cultivating relationships through the winery’s curated mailing list. Floyd began her wine career at ZD Wines in 2007, while completing degrees in business and history at Sonoma State University. That first part-time job sparked a passion for wine and hospitality that led her to jobs with Foley Family Wines, Hestan Vineyards and, most recently, Ram’s Gate Winery. A devoted Cabernet Franc lover, Floyd is thrilled to join the Covert team and craft memorable experiences centered on exceptional, small-production wines.
