Free for the first 10 subscriptions, with free implementation and a free signup-page build for early adopters

May 15, 2026 (Perth, Western Australia) — Australian software company Tectalic has launched Tectalic Wine Club, an app for Shopify that lets wineries run their own choose-your-own or curated subscription clubs from their existing online store, with no extra per-transaction fees on top of the monthly plan. Available on the Shopify App Store since November 2025, the app is being formally introduced to the Australian wine industry for a May 2026 launch, alongside three offers designed to remove the cost and effort of getting a first club off the ground.
The app is built for the gap small and mid-sized Australian wineries have long faced. The platforms big enough to run a wine club have until now been priced for large producers, while generic subscription apps weren’t built around how wineries actually sell – case sizes, pickup at the cellar door, six-monthly releases, and members who want to swap a Shiraz for a Grenache before the next pack ships.
Tectalic Wine Club is built specifically for that audience. It supports build-your-own clubs (members pick their own bottles), curated clubs (the winery pre-selects), monthly, quarterly, six-monthly or annual frequencies, and all three fulfilment methods Australian wineries actually use: shipping, local delivery and tasting-room pickup. Members manage everything – pause, skip, swap a bottle, update their address – through a self-service portal. The app integrates with the existing Shopify Admin, products, stock levels, checkout, payment gateway and fulfilment workflows.
Three launch offers for new sign-ups (May 2026)
- First 10 subscriptions free, forever. The Startup 10 plan has no monthly fee and no extra per-transaction fees – enough to validate the club before paying anything.
- Free implementation for new sign-ups (limited time). The Tectalic team configures the app on your Shopify store: case sizes, frequencies, member discounts, portal, billing and fulfilment rules.
- Free wine-club signup page, designed and built (limited time). Tectalic designs and builds the public-facing signup page on your Shopify site, ready to share with your mailing list at launch.
“Wine clubs are the single biggest direct-to-consumer lever an Australian winery can pull, but the cost and complexity of setting one up has challenged the small and mid-sized producers who’d benefit most,” said James Collins of Tectalic. “We built Tectalic Wine Club so a winery’s first 10 subscriptions don’t cost anything in software fees, and so the implementation and signup page – two things that can easily delay a launch – are taken care of for new sign-ups during this launch period.”
Built in Australia, already running in Australian wineries
Tectalic is a Perth-based software company that develops e-commerce tools for WooCommerce and for Shopify. The Wine Club app is its flagship offering on the Shopify App Store, alongside the existing Mixed Wine Cases app.
Wineries in Australia and the United States are using the app, with multiple five-star reviews on the Shopify App Store:
- Mazette Wines (Santa Barbara County, California) – installed in April 2026. “Well integrated with my theme and amazing customer service.”
- Black & Ginger (Grampians, Victoria) – launched in early 2026. “Until Tectalic came along every other platform was out of reach financially or too generic and not fit for purpose. The platform is excellent for a small winery looking to launch a wine club on Shopify.”
- Grape Farm Winery (Pyrenees, Victoria) – installed in March 2026. “Tectalic was a pleasure to deal with & made the process of installing the wine club app very easy. It melds in with Shopify seamlessly and makes running a wine club effortless.”
- Courabyra Wines (Tumbarumba, NSW) – launched the Courabyra Gathering wine club on Tectalic. “They truly understood our vision for the Courabyra Gathering and brought it to life with care, creativity and simplicity. The platform is perfectly suited to our needs.”
- Boomer Creek Vineyard (East Coast, Tasmania) – launched in May 2026. “The app integrates perfectly, is easy to work with and makes your club site look amazing on top of it. Can not recommend Tectalic enough for setting up a wine club if you are thinking about adding one.”
The app currently holds a 5.0 average rating across five reviews on the Shopify App Store.
