Weekend Events Feature Zinposium Seminar, Z After Party, and More Than 100 Winery Events
February 28, 2019 (Paso Robles, CA) – Zinfandel, Paso Robles Wine Country’s heritage variety, will be celebrated March 15 – 17 all throughout Paso Robles for the annual Zinfandel Weekend event. The celebration begins on Friday with Zinposium, a sure to sell out seated tasting. The evening’s exclamation point is Z After Party, an intimate tasting of Zinfandel and Zinfandel blended wines from 24 of Paso’s Zin specialists. Festivities continue through the weekend with more than 100 individual events at the wineries and tasting rooms of Paso Robles.
Vintage Paso: Zinfandel Weekend begins on Friday, March 15 with Zinposium, a Zin-focused seminar. The 2019 Zinposium theme is dry farmed Zinfandel. Moderator Neil Collins, of Lone Madrone wines, will lead a five-winemaker panel, all masters in making Zinfandel with from dry farmed vineyards. The wines selected reflect Paso’s reputation for high-quality wines, including J Dusi Wines, Lone Madrone, Minassian-Young Vineyards, Peachy Canyon Winery, and Turley Wine Cellars.
Following Zinposium, Z After Party will take place in the same space, the Paso Robles Inn Ballroom. Join 24 Paso wineries for a special stroll-taste-groove experience. Zinfandel is complemented by a fantastic selection of sweets from Brown Butter Fudge, Aww Fudge; Cashew Brittle Samples, California Brittle Company; Taffy, Mehlenbachers Taffy; Chocolate Delight, Sips & Sweets; Raspberry Crumb Bars, Splash Café; Handmade Caramels, Sugar + Spoon. Plus more to come! The Darrell Voss Trio completes the evening with a cool jazz soundtrack to blend with Zin. This intimate tasting is sure to sell out and tickets will not be available at the door.
