Santa Barbara County, Calif., August 1, 2018—Lucas & Lewellen Estate Vineyards is pleased to announce its distribution partnership with Novovino Wine Company, a Chicago, Illinois based distributor. Novovino Wine Company will represent the Lucas & Lewellen Estate Vineyards line of Santa Barbara County, California wines in Chicago.
Lucas & Lewellen Estate Vineyards was founded in 1996 by acclaimed viticulturist Louis Lucas and Superior Court Judge Royce Lewellen. The Solvang, California based winery holds 400 estate acres of vineyards situated among three of Santa Barbara County’s separate and distinct climate zones: Santa Maria Valley, Los Alamos Valley, and Santa Ynez Valley.
The Lucas & Lewellen portfolio focuses on choice lots of Rhône, Bordeaux, and Burgundy varietals, grown sustainably and hand picked under the watchful eye of Louis Lucas and winemaker Megan McGrath Gates. Diligent planning in the vineyards, with each site selected for specific micro-climates, soils, and sun exposure, allows Lucas & Lewellen to grow a range of grape varieties, from the renown to the rare.

Novovino Wine Company is dedicated to providing the Chicago restaurant and retail community with the finest and newest examples of small-production artisanal wine producers available. Novovino will initially offer six core wines from Lucas & Lewellen’s Santa Barbara County Estate Vineyards in Chicago: Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Rosé, Pinot Noir, High 9 Vineyard Pinot Noir and Valley View Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon.
