Sebastopol, CA—May 2, 2017—The Dehlinger family announces the acquisition of Stiling Vineyard, 35 acres of Chardonnay and Pinot noir vines contiguous to Dehlinger Estate Vineyard in Russian River Valley. The property was once part of the historic Garbro Ranch, known for premium berry and apple production. Don Stiling purchased the land in 1986; he and his family developed the vineyard between 1988 and 2005, earning vineyard designated status for superior Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The Dehlinger family will fulfill existing grape contracts and select a small portion of Stiling Vineyard fruit for their own brand.

“We are pleased to have connected with our neighbors, the Stiling family, and we look forward to continuing the long agricultural tradition of this ranch,” said Eva Dehlinger, second generation winegrower and Dehlinger Winery General Manager. “The addition of the Stiling ranch to our acreage continues our commitment to estate grown grapes and strengthens our dedication to the Russian River Valley.”

About Dehlinger Winery: The family’s property encompasses a 45 acre vineyard and winery on a ridge of red gravelly soil in Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley. In 1975 Tom Dehlinger planted the initial 14 acres of vineyard and built a small winery. Tom and his wife Carole developed the business over four decades, building a consistent reputation for handcrafted, full-flavored wines with site-specific character. Today, daughters Carmen and Eva, Sales Manager and General Manager respectively, are active partners, providing new vitality to vineyard, winery and customer service operations. Dehlinger Winery produces approximately 7000 cases of estate grown Russian River Valley wines annually.
