Tickets to the popular event are on sale now at www.WineSymposium.com.

“The 21st Annual Vineyard Economics Seminar is a continuation of our long tradition of researching and analyzing the wine industry, to present the most vital and relevant information for wine grape growers, as well as vintners and professionals involved in the financial and legal sectors of the wine business,” said Kathy Archer, President, Wine Industry Symposium Group. “We received a large response to our annual Vineyard Economics Survey which will provide deep insight into the hottest issues and trends impacting wine grapegrowers when we present the results.”

“Based upon the preliminary results of our 2016 Vineyard Economics Survey, it appears that opportunities and challenges are evident throughout California’s wine regions,” said David Freed, Chairman, The Silverado Group, “Forecasting of the 2016 crop, water rights, labor and minimum wage, massive vineyard replanting, climate issues that impact harvest and yield, how to bridge the gap between real production costs and per bottle pricing, grape varietal trends and availability of grapes and bulk wine are some of the issues at the forefront of the wine business today.”

The 2016 Vineyard Economics Seminar program features agricultural experts, wine industry professionals and high level decision makers from all areas of the industry. Topics will range from the grape market, to the premiumization of vineyards, to water and drought issues, to vineyard risk factors, to tax and lending information specific to vineyards and growers. Both the program, and limited-time early bird registration, are available online at www.WineSymposium.com.

About the Wine Industry Symposium Group

The founders of the Wine Industry Symposium Group met in early 1992 with the hope that by forming a new industry conference, they would create an open exchange of thoughts and ideas concerning financial aspects of the California wine industry. The Wine Industry Financial Symposium was born. A couple of years later, in 1994, the group started a similar program, the Central Coast Insights Program, to fit the needs of that region. A year later, the Vineyard Economics Seminar was created for grape growers. Because of consistent globalization and consolidation in the wine business, the Wine Industry Symposium Group continues to operate with the mission of providing a critical platform for important communication and dialogue between the multiple facets of the wine business and the lending community.
