October 16, 2026 (Denver, CO) — Grapejuice Group Imports is pleased to announce a new partnership with Pagliarese and has been appointed the exclusive U.S. importer of the historic Chianti Classico estate, located in Castelnuovo Berardenga in the southern reaches of the appellation.
Pagliarese is one of the storied names of Chianti Classico. The estate built its reputation in the 1970s and 1980s before production under its own label ended in the early 1990s. In 1995, the Poggiali family of Fèlsina acquired the property and set about restoring its oldest vineyards, replanting through massal selection from the estate’s original vines. The 2015 harvest marked the first vintage of Pagliarese’s modern era. The vineyards sit between 320 and 390 meters on the slopes of Colle del Montecucco, facing mostly south-southwest, on a mix of sandstone, alberese and alluvial pebbles. Led by Sangiovese with small amounts of Canaiolo and Mammolo, the wines are aged in medium-sized Slavonian oak and made with a focus on elegance and a return to the estate’s classic style.
