New vintages showcase Jordan’s enduring commitment to elegant, food-friendly wines crafted with balance, finesse, and a forward-thinking approach

September 3, 2026 (Healdsburg, CA) — As Sonoma enters one of its most anticipated seasons, Jordan Vineyard & Winery is pleased to announce the release of its newest vintages: the 2024 Jordan Russian River Valley Chardonnay and 2022 Jordan Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Crafted by winemaker Maggie Kruse, who is celebrating 20 years with Jordan this year, and her expert team, the releases continue the winery’s more than 50-year legacy of producing elegant, food-friendly wines while refining each vintage with precision and care.
For more than five decades, Jordan has remained focused on producing just one white wine and one red wine. This singular approach, paired with a spirit of innovation and a commitment to hospitality, has helped define the winery’s balanced, Old World-inspired style. The new releases reflect that philosophy through a vibrant, Burgundian-style Chardonnay from Russian River Valley and a silky, Bordeaux-inspired Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley.
- 2024 Jordan Chardonnay opens with aromas of orange rind and tangerine, layered with lemon zest, tangerine blossom and a touch of wet stone. On the palate, vibrant acidity reveals notes of Asian pear and Meyer lemon in a delicate, refined expression, while a mineral edge carries through the finish. A hint of French oak enhances the wine’s elegance without compromising its brightness, and a silky texture adds freshness, depth and lasting complexity. Offered at $42 per 750mL bottle, the wine received 94 points from James Suckling.
- 2022 Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon offers expressive scents of black cherry, dusty cocoa nib, bay leaf and dried herbs, with hints of strawberry preserve, graphite, allspice and nutmeg. Smooth, rich and beautifully balanced, the palate features vibrant mixed-berry character, dark fruit and subtle spice notes supported by refined tannins. A kiss of French oak lingers through the finish, adding polish and structure while preserving the wine’s fruit-driven elegance. Offered at $60 per 750mL bottle, the wine received 94 points from James Suckling and is recommended to be decanted for 60 minutes prior to enjoying.
Both wines are designed to pair seamlessly with food. The Chardonnay complements dishes such as roast chicken with preserved lemon and herbs and duck breast with stone fruit and citrus-kissed crudo, while the Cabernet Sauvignon pairs well with pork chops with mushrooms and leeks, roasted duck, braised lamb shank, mushroom risotto, and short ribs with polenta.
