Stoller Wine Group brand honored as only Oregon winner at 2026 Pack Design Awards
September 3, 2026 (Dayton, OR) — Less than a year after unveiling its new identity, Chemistry has earned national recognition for its transformation at the 2026 Wine Business Monthly PACK Design Awards in the Best Packaging Series category. Presented across five categories, the annual competition celebrates standout wine packaging from across the country, with Chemistry earning the honor of the only Oregon wine brand recognized this year.
“Great brands have to continue to evolve,” said Gary Mortensen, president of Stoller Wine Group. “When we reimagined Chemistry, our team listened to our customers, understood the market, and made some intentional choices about where we wanted to take the brand. To have that work recognized by Wine Business Monthly reinforces that we got it right.”
Chemistry debuted its new identity in fall 2025, drawing inspiration from the contrast found where fact meets fiction, beauty meets chaos, and art meets science. A chalice within a floating heart anchors the design, while vivid colors, classical elements, mythological zodiac archetypes, seasonal rhythms, and organic forms give each wine its own personality while connecting the collection as a whole.
The approach caught the attention of a judging panel that included Curtis Mann, Master of Wine and vice president of alcohol (Wine, Beer & Spirits) for Kroger; Regine Rousseau, founder and CEO of Shall We Wine; and Sara Schneider, consulting wine and spirits editor.
“Packaging that expresses mysticism, curiosity, seasonal rhythms … the Stoller family’s breaking out!” one judge noted. “It’s thinking outside the box at every level, but it’s not silly. Might just be intriguing enough to get someone in a desirable demographic to pull a bottle off the shelf and scan the code.” Another judge added, “The series works well. The information is clear. The design fits the price point.”
The award-winning series was designed to stand out on the shelf while keeping Chemistry approachable and accessible. The 2024 Oregon Pinot Noir, 2024 Oregon Chardonnay, 2025 Oregon Pinot Gris, and Non-Vintage Willamette Valley Blanc de Blancs are each priced at $25 and distributed in more than 40 states, including H-E-B, Kroger, Safeway, Harris Teeter, Metropolitan Market, New Seasons, WinCo, Hy-Vee, and more.
