Bernabéu, home to Real Madrid, hosts dinner alongside Liquid Icons and announces new long-term partnership for its new members club, Bernabéu 1947, through the Golden Vines® Connoisseur Programme.
A new era for Bernabéu hospitality fuses fine wine, haute cuisine and footballing heritage.
December 18, 2025 (Madrid, Spain & London, UK) — In a move set to redefine luxury in sport, Real Madrid’s Area VIP – Corporate Hospitality hosted an evening alongside The Golden Vines® at Bernabéu’s presidential suite. The world renown fine wine enterprise has been chosen to curate the wine, spirits and events programme for the Bernabéu 1947 Private Members Club, due to open for the 2026–2027 season. The alliance unites the world’s most iconic football venue with a leading curator of fine wine, rare spirits and money can’t buy experiences, creating a new benchmark for stadium hospitality.
The Bernabéu Effect through a fine wine lens
Named for the year the original Santiago Bernabéu Stadium was inaugurated, the Bernabéu 1947 Club will distil Real Madrid’s values of heritage, ambition and excellence into a private members’ space overlooking the pitch. Conceived as a fully-fledged members’ club open beyond match days, it will host a vast event calendar that, for the wine and spirits segment will be co-led by The Golden Vines®. This will include hosting tastings, verticals, rare-spirit nights and collaborations with leading chefs, transforming the stadium into a year-round destination for culture, gastronomy and entertainment.
Partnership unveiled in presidential suite
The collaboration was introduced with what many regarded as the most exclusive fine wine and Michelin-level dinner ever held in a football stadium, staged in the Palco de Honor, Real Madrid’s presidential suite. Thirty-five VVIP guests, including senior Real Madrid executives such as José Ángel Sánchez Periáñez and leading international collectors, experienced a one-night-only menu by two Michelin star chef Ramón Freixa paired with an exceptional line-up of iconic wines presented by their estate principals.
The Golden Vines® at the pinnacle of fine wine
The Golden Vines®, founded by financier and celebrated collector Lewis Chester and Alexander Lushnikov, has become one of the most influential names in fine wine through the Golden Vines® Awards and the Golden Vines® Report, both regarded as global reference points and independently verified by Deloitte. Through the Gérard Basset Foundation, Liquid Icons and The Golden Vines® also fund scholarships and work placements for talented individuals from financially disadvantaged or under-represented backgrounds, reinforcing the partnership’s alignment with values of excellence and opportunity.
Connoisseur Programme in global sport
The Bernabéu 1947 partnership sits within The Golden Vines® Connoisseur Programme, a tailored platform designed to elevate fine wine within the wider realm of luxury experiences. The programme has already been deployed in leading sports and travel environments, including collaborations with the Brooklyn Nets at the Crown Club at Barclays Center, the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium, the New York Mets; as well as shortly to be rolled out across shuttle flights, charters and fractional-ownership jets operated by SLATE Aviation in the United States.
An “impossible” 1947 inaugural dinner
To mark the full opening of the Bernabéu 1947 Club, The Golden Vines® is planning an inaugural “Vintage 1947” dinner built around the most coveted wines from the year of the stadium’s foundation. Centred on legendary bottles such as Château Cheval Blanc 1947, the event is conceived as a once-in-a-lifetime “impossible dinner” of unicorn wines that weaves Real Madrid’s history directly into the fabric of the club’s wine list.
Greatness beyond the pitch
With 36 La Liga titles, 15 European Cups/Champions Leagues and 20 Copa del Rey trophies, Real Madrid’s sporting record provides the backdrop to a hospitality project designed to match this culture of winning. By entrusting The Golden Vines® with its wine, spirits and events programme, Bernabéu 1947 confirms the stadium as a global stage for extraordinary new luxury and as a pioneering model for how elite sport, gastronomy and fine wine can converge.
