AIS Piemonte Headquarters – Via Modena 23 – Turin

December 5, 2025 (Turin, Italy) — After the success of the 2025 edition, a new special day, “Vermouth di Torino … in Turin” is scheduled at the beginning of 2026, marking the start of the year’s activities. The event was first held in 2019, when the Vermouth di Torino Consortium, newly established, wanted to create a unique Turin-based event to highlight the origins of this Piedmontese excellence. Since then, it has become an highly anticipated and enjoyable way to kick off the year.

The event will take place on Friday, January 23, starting at 10:30 AM at the AIS Piemonte headquarters, Via Modena 23, Turin. It promises to be a very special occasion, offering participants the chance to enjoy the largest tasting of Vermouth di Torino ever held. This is the only Turin-based event entirely dedicated to Vermouth di Torino IGP, organized exclusively by the Vermouth di Torino Consortium in collaboration with the Italian Sommelier Association (AIS). The Consortium members represent 85% of production, including world-renowned historic brands as well as new emerging excellence.

Members of the Consortium, forming an extraordinary and unique team, will offer tastings through their various brands and labels, showcasing the creative interpretations of their Master Blenders. The event will follow a walk-around tasting format, allowing participants to sample whatever they wish, meet the producers in person, exchange impressions, and ask questions. At the same time, in the room adjacent to the tasting hall, a series of short talks, roundtables, and concise seminars will take place providing updates on the latest developments regarding the Geographical Indication and current topics related to Vermouth of Turin IGP, the only vermouth in the world officially recognized as IGP.

The President of the Consortium, Bruno Malavasi, in extending his invitation to attend this special day, declares: “We are delighted to renew the event “Vermouth di Torino … in Turin” this year, which now takes on even greater significance following the important recognition granted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty, and Forestry. MASAF has entrusted our Consortium with the task of protecting, promoting, and enhancing Italy’s first Geographical Indication-protected aromatized wine, a true expression of Piedmontese tradition and Italian winemaking. This event will be the perfect occasion to celebrate this remarkable achievement and, above all, to reflect together on the many opportunities to further enhance this national excellence.”

The detailed program will be announced shortly.
