Iconic Sonoma County Winery Celebrates Final Chapter of Estate Transformation, Reinforcing its Legacy of Exceptional Hospitality Following its Recognition as North America’s #1 Vineyard
November 20, 2025 (Healdsburg, CA) — Jordan Vineyard & Winery – the certified sustainable producer of French-inspired chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon in Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley – proudly announces the completion of its six-year estate beautification initiative, a comprehensive project that has thoughtfully reimagined every facet of the Jordan hospitality experience. The final phase debuts a redesigned front landscape, arrival court, and parking area – an elegant new gateway that mirrors the refinement and natural beauty found throughout the estate.

This milestone follows Jordan’s newly announced recognition as the #1 Vineyard in North America on the The World’s 50 Best Vineyards 2025 list – a distinction that underscores the winery’s enduring commitment to excellence across hospitality, design, culinary innovation, and winemaking. The World’s Best Vineyards list provides an annual snapshot of the opinions and experiences of 720 well-traveled international wine industry experts and celebrates the finest vineyard destinations around the globe, honoring properties renowned for exceptional dining, luxurious accommodations, and unforgettable guest experiences. Votes are cast based on the overall experience offered to visitors, including tours, tastings, hospitality, architecture, food and the surrounding environment – rather than solely on wine quality or where the grapes are grown.
“Completing this six-year journey marks a defining moment for Jordan,” said John Jordan, chief executive officer of Jordan Vineyard & Winery. “Each enhancement – from the Chateau Guest Suites to the Dining Room and now our elevated arrival experience – has been driven by a commitment to deepening how guests connect with Jordan. We’ve transformed nearly every corner of our chateau, blending thoughtful design, hospitality and winemaking into a cohesive expression of who we are. Earning the title of North America’s best vineyard this year affirms that this work truly resonates with our guests. This milestone is not a conclusion, but the start of an exciting new chapter.”
Designed in collaboration with award-winning landscape designer Christian Douglas, the newly completed arrival court and parking renovation serves as the culminating moment of Jordan’s multi-year revitalization. The reimagined entrance transforms the winery’s first impression into an immersive experience of European-inspired elegance, highlighted by hand-carved marble sculptures, a travertine fountain, manicured hedges, and refined stonework reminiscent of the gardens of Versailles.
Anchored by a striking 14-foot-wide travertine fountain, the arrival court unfolds in layers of lush greenery, premium turf, and more than 100 subtly integrated LED lights that illuminate the landscape at dusk. Symmetrical rows of sycamores, magnolias, Italian cypress, and Sally Jordan Roses (named after the winery’s co-founder) frame the entrance alongside stone benches and Versailles-inspired planters. Enhanced signage, electric vehicle chargers, and modernized irrigation and drainage systems unite elegance with environmental responsibility, offering a sophisticated and sustainable welcome for the next generation of Jordan guests.
“Our vision for the arrival experience was to reflect the same grace and beauty that guests encounter within the Jordan Chateau,” said Christian Douglas, principal of Christian Douglas Design. “Every detail – from the stone pathways to the four hand-carved marble ‘Four Seasons’ statues – was crafted to celebrate Jordan’s architectural heritage and offer a seamless introduction to its world of wine, food and hospitality.”
Under the leadership of Tim Spence, Jordan’s director of facilities for more than three decades, and alongside his sons, Matt and Timmy, the facilities team has been fundamental to every stage of the estate’s evolution. Their deep institutional knowledge and exceptional craftsmanship have created an environment where artistry, functionality, and sustainability coexist beautifully.
This significant renovation caps a series of enhancements that have reimagined nearly every corner of Jordan’s 1,200-acre estate since 2019. The revitalization began with the Chateau Library and Bacchus Courtyard and continued with updates to the Cellar Room, the glass pavilion at Vista Point, the Chateau Guest Suites that overlook the barrel room, and the Dining Room – each infused with Parisian elegance by San Francisco designer Maria Khouri of Maria Khouri Interiors. In 2023, the unveiling of the Chateau Lobby and Lawn introduced a new level of French-inspired grandeur, uniting handcrafted furnishings, curated art, and vibrant culinary landscaping. The Jordan Terrace, renovated in 2024, expanded this hospitality vision outdoors with sweeping vineyard views and refined tasting experiences. Now, with the arrival court and parking renovation complete, Jordan brings its multi-year vision to life – creating a unified, immersive and experiential sense of arrival that reflects its heritage, hospitality philosophy, and unwavering commitment to exceptional guest experiences.
