Tradition Reimagined: A Five-Day Story-Driven Wine & Culture Experience with Bertony Faustin and Tiquette Bramlett, November 13–17

Celebrating Heritage, Community, and the Future of Oregon Wine Through Intimate Tastings, Dinners, and Conversations

November 4, 2025 (Portland, OR) — This November, Portland and Oregon’s wine country becomes the stage for a new kind of cultural conversation. Bertony Faustin, Oregon’s first Black winemaker, founder of Abbey Creek Vineyard, and creator of Red, White & Black, and Tiquette Bramlett, founder of Henderson Ave Wines and Our Legacy Harvested, lead Tradition Reimagined a five-day, story-driven experience bringing together winemakers, chefs, cultural leaders, and community builders to explore how heritage is honored, challenged, and reshaped through wine, food, music, and truth-telling.

From November 13–17, Tradition Reimagined will merge Oregon’s pioneering legacy with the voices shaping its future through intimate vineyard conversations, culinary collaborations, live tapings, fireside chats, tasting sessions and immersive storytelling moments. Guests are invited to take part in a series of public events hosted throughout the weekend—each designed to blend wine, culture, and conversation in an intimate, welcoming atmosphere. Tickets for each experience are available online through Abbey Creek Vineyard.

“My journey in wine has always been about creating space for connection and representation, so coming together with Bertony, a mentor and friend who helped shape my path, feels full circle,” says Tiquette Bramelett. “Tradition Reimagined creates space for culture, connection, and honest conversation. It’s about honoring where we’ve come from while opening the door wider for who gets to be part of the story moving forward.”

“This isn’t about changing tradition; it’s about claiming our place in it. Tradition Reimagined provides that culture doesn’t evolve by accident – it evolves by design,” says Bertony Faustin.

At its core, Tradition Reimagined is about more than wine, it’s about belonging. This initiative honors Oregon’s roots while challenging the boundaries of who has traditionally shaped and shared its stories. By pairing intimate experiences with intentional dialogue,  Bertony Faustin and Tiquette Bramlett are creating a platform that celebrates authenticity, representation, and access.

Beyond simply crafting fine wine, Abbey Creek is committed to expanding representation and access in the wine world, amplifying stories that too often go unheard.

Abbey Creek’s tasting room (“The Crick”) invites guests into a space where hip-hop meets pinot, where heritage meets terroir, and where meaningful connection is part of every pour. Whether you’re visiting for a tasting or discovering the wines online, Abbey Creek stands as a landmark of both craftsmanship and social impact.
