A Vibrant Space Where Art, Storytelling, and Sonoma County’s Wine Culture Meet
October 22, 2025 (Healdsburg, CA) — True West Film Center is thrilled to announce the grand opening of True West Cinemas, a new cultural destination in the heart of downtown Healdsburg. With its recent soft opening celebrated on October 17, and a grand opening celebration scheduled for October 25, the Cinemas will provide Sonoma County with a distinctive moviegoing experience—bringing together first-run films, repertory classics, and community programming, all powered by state-of-the-art exhibition technology.
The idea for True West’s bespoke wine program was inspired at the Three Valleys Sunset Sipper on July 30, a first-of-its-kind gathering that united the Winegrower associations of Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley, and Russian River Valley. Witnessing these three neighboring wine regions come together in support of their communities left a lasting impression on True West Film Center’s founder, Kathryn Philip. “Seeing the camaraderie and shared passion among the valleys planted the seed for our wine program,” Kathryn shared. “Our goal is to provide a cinematic experience that feels both unique and deeply connected to our community, with thoughtfully curated films complemented by the superb wines made in our own backyard.”
To bring this vision to life, True West has partnered with award-winning sommelier Alexandria Sarovich, who has curated an exclusive wine program showcasing Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley, and Russian River Valley. This unique cinema beverage experience invites audiences to enjoy local wines that embody the richness and diversity of Sonoma County’s most celebrated appellations—all while experiencing world-class films.
