The sustainability newsletter marks three years of publication; launches paid access to its archive

September 30, 2025 (New York, NY) — The Full S.I.P. (Sustainable Industry Practices), the weekly newsletter curating the most relevant sustainability news in wine and spirits, is marking three years of publication by launching paid access to its full archive.
“After three years of tracking the most important developments, the newsletter has become not only a weekly intelligence briefing, but also a dynamic resource,” said founder Danna Shapiro, a marketing communications strategist specializing in wine and luxury brands. “The goal is to provide value for industry professionals, whether they’re making business decisions, developing a brand strategy, or pursuing advanced study.”
With a degree in Biology, and harboring a keen interest in environmental science since her college days, Shapiro started the newsletter as part passion project, part self-education of how the alcohol beverage business can be a best-in-class sustainable industry. After three years of weekly missives, she realized the archive could be a valuable resource to those looking to dive into research at the crossroads of alcohol beverage and sustainability. The archive is tagged with over 55 categories for ease of navigation: including big picture areas like legislation, carbon markets and finance.
Brand managers, brand owners, and sustainability directors can utilize this archive to stay informed about the latest developments and trends affecting sustainability within the sector. Additionally, individuals pursuing top industry credentials, such as the Master of Wine program, will find the archive particularly useful for their studies. The archive is also an excellent tool for anyone interested in deepening their understanding of how sustainability issues are shaping the alcoholic beverage landscape.
There are three subscription levels: a free subscription, which includes weekly updates of key sustainability news in the alcohol beverage space; annual plans ($8 monthly / $75 annually) which include full archive access; and a founding level of membership called Charter Council ($500 annually) which includes a tailored marketing consulting session plus access to the archive. Discounts are available for students, and those just starting out in the industry.
While there is a solid and dynamic sustainability movement in the alcohol beverage space, there is still work to be done. Consumer research consistently shows willingness to pay more for sustainable products, but marketplace adoption has been uneven; complicated by a myriad of certifications, communication gaps, and greenwashing. The industry needs more cohesion and knowledge to better capitalize on the opportunities.
