Greenfield Global Adds Dedicated Specialty Beverage Production Facility to Kentucky Campus to Meet Rising Domestic Demand

September 24, 2025 (Shelbyville, KY) — Greenfield Global announced today the commencement of construction of a dedicated Other Than Standard Wine (OTSW) production facility on its 16-acre campus in Shelbyville, Kentucky. This strategic investment responds to growing demand from U.S. beverage producers seeking TTB approved high-quality wine-based ingredients that also mitigate tariff risk.

The new facility will feature a 40,000-gallon blend tank, a state-of-the-art reverse osmosis (RO) water treatment system, and food safety and Kosher certifications. Located in the heart of bourbon country, the site is optimally located at the epicenter of America’s flavored spirits industry and offers direct rail access and flexible shipping options—including tankers and totes—ensuring rapid delivery and reduced freight costs.

With this investment, Greenfield will deliver supply chain security, tariff risk mitigation, and products that meet regulatory requirements. The site will produce grape and orange OTSW and will leverage ingredients that Greenfield produces in- house, ensuring product quality throughout the entire production process. This adds to Greenfield’s growing portfolio of cost-effective and sustainably produced beverage ingredients to help you optimize your excise tax.

“Today’s beverage producers face rising costs, regulatory complexity, and tariff uncertainty,” said Jimmy Bookstore, Vice President of Beverage and Alcohol Ingredients. “By producing OTSW domestically with our proprietary ingredients and processes, we help customers reduce COGS, simplify operations, and unlock new growth opportunities.”

Construction is underway, with shipments from Shelbyville expected to begin mid- 2026. Greenfield will continue supplying 5010-eligible OTSW from its Canadian facility to ensure uninterrupted service.
