West Coast Smoke Exposure Task Force – Annual Smoke Summit

This year’s Smoke Summit will bring together leading researchers and industry experts to share the latest progress on wildfire smoke exposure, and how that research is translating into real-world decisions in the vineyard and winery.

As smoke events continue to shape decision-making across the industry, this webinar is designed to connect current research with real-world application, helping growers and winemakers better understand how to interpret data, assess risk, and respond in the vineyard and winery.

Confirmed speakers include Dr. Elizabeth Tomasino (Oregon State University), Dr. Tom Collins (Washington State University), Dr. Arran Rumbaugh (USDA-ARS), Kristine Fox (Relation Insurance), and Cole Cerrato (Oregon State University), who will provide practical guidance on interpreting lab results and key smoke markers.

The program will highlight recent research findings, advancements in federal and university-led smoke research, updates on crop insurance tools, and applied strategies to support decision-making before, during, and after a smoke event.
