Festival Napa Valley Honors Robin and Michelle Baggett for Their Contributions to the Arts and Community

September 16, 2025 (Napa, CA) — Festival Napa Valley honored vintners Robin and Michelle Baggett with a celebratory gathering on Thursday, September 11, 2025. Hosted by incoming Festival board chairman Steven Stull and his wife Claire at their stunning home overlooking Napa Valley, the event celebrated Robin’s distinguished tenure as chairman of the board and highlighted the couple’s many enduring contributions to Napa County youth, the arts, education, and community causes.

“Robin and Michelle’s leadership has left a lasting imprint on Festival Napa Valley and on Napa Valley itself. From championing music education to promoting music and wellness, they understand the transformative power of the arts. Their dedication has strengthened not only the Festival, but the entire cultural fabric of our community,” said Rick Walker, Festival Napa Valley President & CEO.

Members of the Festival board and fellow vintners brought magnums of Napa’s finest vintages to toast the couple’s legacy of service. They were feted throughout the evening, and were presented with custom hats. Robin’s was a classic Stetson, embroidered “The Chairman” in recognition of his leadership of the Festival and other community organizations.

Guests, including Gina Gallo & Jean-Charles Boisset, Romana Bracco, Tracy & Darryl Curry, Naoko Dalla Valle, Valerie & Jeff Gargiulo, Amanda & Chesson Hadley, Jane & Bert Inch, Pam Kramlich, Karen Kubin, Robin & Jon Lail, Sharon & Gary Lessing, Kathleen & José Luis Nazar, Paul Pelosi, Sabrina Weyeneth Persson & Tim Persson, Maria & Joe Sanders, Maria Manetti Shrem, Mona Tavss, and Maria & Robert Torres, enjoyed a performance by Grammy Award-winning cellist Jonah Kim and his wife, San Francisco Ballet soloist Julia Rowe.

A Legacy of Leadership and Philanthropy

Robin Baggett has been a member of Festival Napa Valley’s board of directors since 2013 and was appointed chairman in 2021. A vintner, attorney, and community leader, he founded Alpha Omega Winery with Michelle in 2006, following a successful 40-year legal career that included eight years as general counsel of the NBA’s Golden State Warriors.

Robin has also served as chair of the Napa Valley Vintners board of directors and, with Michelle, chaired this year’s Auction Napa Valley. He currently serves on the boards of the Wine Institute, Land Trust of Napa County, First Tee-Monterey County, and the Cal Poly Athletic Director’s Council. He chaired the Festival’s Arts for All Gala in 2018.

Michelle Baggett serves as Executive Director of the Alpha Omega Foundation and is deeply engaged in philanthropic efforts supporting children’s education, the arts, medical technology, and community causes. She serves on the boards of the Rutherford Dust Society and the St. Helena Hospital Foundation and was recognized as the V Foundation Wine Celebration Vintner Ambassador in 2021. Together, the Baggetts have been outspoken supporters of the Festival’s mission to transform lives through education and the arts.
