Partnership expands health care coverage for workforce throughout Napa County

July 28, 2025 (Napa, CA) — Napa Valley Grapegrowers (NVG) has announced a partnership with the St. Helena Hospital Foundation (SHHF) to provide access to preventative healthcare for agricultural workers throughout Napa County. This new collaboration builds on SHHF’s initiative with the Napa County Farm Bureau to provide health care coverage to even more of the County’s ag community.
As part of Adventist Health St. Helena’s recent Community Health Needs Assessment, focus groups revealed a significant gap in community knowledge regarding the resources and services currently available, resulting in uncertainty and a lack of awareness about how to access local programs and health services. To address this, Napa Valley Grapegrowers and St. Helena Hospital Foundation are committed to increasing awareness and ensuring the community is well-informed. The collaboration will expand efforts to better connect with residents, particularly underserved and rural populations.
This partnership will bring St. Helena Hospital’s Mobile Health program directly to NVG member vineyards, vineyard management companies, and wineries, offering essential services such as blood pressure checks, glucose screenings, arrythmia screenings, Galleri Early Cancer Detection testing, seasonal flu and COVID-19 vaccinations and more – all at no cost.
“We are pleased to be able to support and expand the great work St. Helena Hospital Mobile Health team is doing in the ag community,” stated Caleb Mosley, Executive Director, Napa Valley Grapegrowers. “By providing essential health services directly to our members’ workforces, this partnership helps ensure more individuals and families know about the resources that are available to support their health and well-being.”
“Our agricultural workers are the backbone of this region, and their health is essential to the strength of our community,” said Glen Newhart, President and CEO of St. Helena Hospital Foundation. “Through this partnership, we are removing obstacles to care and ensuring that essential health services are delivered directly to the people who are so vital to our community.”
