El Cielo Valle de Guadalupe Announces Programming for 2025 Harvest Season

Marking the 2025 vendimia season, El Cielo Valle de Guadalupe celebrates wine culture, the bounty of the harvest, and the continued excellence of Mexico’s most awarded winery

June 24, 2025 (Ensenada, Baja California) — El Cielo Valle de Guadalupe, one of Mexico’s premier producers celebrated for its world-class craftsmanship, is proud to announce its official program for the 2025 Harvest Festival. This year’s edition is a heartfelt tribute to the land, the vine, and the enduring passion that defines Mexican wine culture. Guests can look forward to an inspiring lineup of experiences that blend tradition, education, and exceptional cuisine, all crafted to engage the senses and celebrate the spirit of vendimia.

From August 1 to 31, El Cielo will offer two immersive experiences:

  • A Day of Harvest at El Cielo – Monday through Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including grape harvesting, stomping, a winery tour, and a wine pairing lunch.
  • Harvest Experience – Also available daily, featuring winery visits, grape stomping, and a guided wine and cheese tasting. Scheduled at 11:30 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.

The festivities begin on Friday, August 1 with the XXXV Wine Exhibition, hosted by Provino at the Riviera Cultural Center at 7:00 p.m. The celebration continues on Saturday, August 2 at 4:00 p.m. with a Master Class: “History of Wine in Mexico”, a guided tasting of wines from across the country.

On Sunday, August 3 at 1:00 p.m., guests are invited to attend the Opening Harvest Mass at the Nuestra Señora de los Milagros Chapel, a spiritual gathering to give thanks for the season’s bounty. The traditional Blessing of the Harvest follows on Monday, August 11 at 7:30 a.m., held in the vineyards as a moving tribute to the land, labor, and legacy of the winemaking community.

Throughout August, El Cielo will host an exclusive academic calendar of Master Classes and Comparative Tastings all taking place at 4:00 p.m., led by industry experts and oenologists, including:

  • Chardonnay – Thursday, August 7th
  • Sauvignon Blanc – Saturday, August 9th
  • Cabernet Sauvignon – Tuesday, August 12th
  • Piedmont vs. Mexican Nebbiolo – Thursday, August 14th
  • From Cork Oak to Glass: The Journey of Cork – Saturday, August 16th
  • Malbec: Old World vs. New World – Friday, August 22nd

One of the festival’s highlights is “El Cielo de Noche – Perseids Night,” inviting guests to experience the magic of the Perseid meteor shower on Sunday, August 10, with two opportunities to watch the spectacle—at 7:00 p.m. and again at 11:00 p.m.—set against the stunning backdrop of the vineyards.

The culinary lineup includes the exclusive Wine Club Paella Festival on Wednesday, August 13, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., followed by the 35th Annual Paella Contest open to the public on Sunday, August 17, starting at noon at Viña de Liceaga. On both Friday, August 15, and Saturday, August 23, El Cielo will present elegant Vineyard Pairing Dinners, featuring a unique Baja-Yucatán fusion menu perfectly paired with the winery’s signature selections. Each evening offers two seatings at 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Seafood enthusiasts can also indulge in a Sparkling Wine & Shellfish Pairing Workshop on Saturday, August 23, at 2:00 p.m., highlighting the best of local flavors alongside thoughtfully curated wine pairings.

A particularly rare experience is the vertical tasting of Perseus, one of El Cielo’s most celebrated labels, showcasing vintages from 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2018. This exclusive tasting takes place on Friday, August 8, at 4:00 p.m., accompanied by other special wine events across the estate.
