Castle Rock Winery Wins Gold at the 2025 Sunset International Wine Competition

June 18, 2025 (Rolling Hills, CA) — Castle Rock Winery is thrilled to announce that two of its wines earned Gold Medals at the prestigious 2025 Sunset International Wine Competition, underscoring the winery’s ongoing commitment to crafting exceptional wines at accessible prices.

The 2023 Castle Rock Pinot Noir, Mendocino County was awarded a Gold Medal and 90 points, celebrated for its “great mouthfeel, texture; nice finish.” Meanwhile, the 2024 Castle Rock Rosé of Pinot Noir, Monterey County earned a Gold Medal and an outstanding 92 points, with judges praising its “strawberries and cream” character, “smooth texture,” and an elegant hint of “tuber rose.”
