[Paso Robles, CA] — Tuesday, April 8, 2025 — ONX Wines is thrilled to announce the launch of its new micro lot brand, Kiler Canyon Vineyard. Nestled in the sought after Willow Creek District, this boutique label combines impeccable winemaking techniques with a deep respect for tradition, offering a unique selection of small production wines that reflect the rich terroir of the land.
Kiler Canyon Vineyard is committed to farming sustainably and on the road to becoming fully organic within the next two years. It consists of 24 planted acres. While the Templeton Gap wind effect is very much felt at Kiler Canyon Vineyard, this site’s defining characteristic is its steep grades and depleted limestone soils. Combined, these factors all ensure the vines struggle to grow and must reach deep for nutrients, ensuring low-yielding grapes that follow are equally intense and powerful. With such a limited number of varieties planted, we are able to focus solely on the grape types most known to thrive in Willow Creek. Mourvedre, Syrah, Roussanne.

The various clones of Syrah and Mourvedre planted at Kiler Canyon Vineyard each have unique personalities and strengths. All with a terroir-driven throughline of chalky tannin and gushing fruit characteristics. With plans to plant the final piece of the Rhone-puzzle, Grenache, shortly we are looking forward to expanding even more on the complexity and diversity of these wines.
The first allocation release of Kiler Canyon Vineyard will include its 2023 Roussanne extremely limited at 30 cases, its 2021 Estate Syrah which recently scored 95 points with Wine Enthusiast and its 2021 Cuvée a blend of the estates Syrah/Mourvedre.
