Dundee Hills, Ore. – Oct. 3 , 2023 – Sokol Blosser, a pioneering family – owned and – operated winery, is betting big on bubbles this holiday season. The winery is introducing its first limited – edition Bluebird Cuvée custom – designed gift box on Oct. 23 online and in the winery’s tasting room.
Priced at $39, it’s an ideal gift for anyone who likes wine. “ We wanted to offer customers something new and exciting as they shop for gifts this holiday season and beyond ,” said Caitlin Shawver, Director of Marketing for Sokol Blosser. “Bluebird Cuvée is a fan favorite, and sparkling wine is always hit, regardless of the occasion.”
The Bluebird Cuvée gift box stands out with its stunning blue color and a large image of a bluebird, honoring the winery’s support of the Prescott Western Bluebird Recovery Project. For more than 20 years, Sokol Blosser has offered shelter and support to preserve a breeding habitat for Western Bluebirds, with 11 birdhouses on its organically farmed property.
Sokol Blosser Bluebird Cuvée is a méthode traditionelle wine and the current vintage (2021) features a proprietary assemblage of Willamette Valley fruit including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling and Müller – Thurgau. Sokol Blosser President Alex Sokol Blosser’s favorite pairings are with breakfast or brunch. “I love Bluebird Cuvée with blueberry or banana pancakes or smoked salmon — with or without the bagel ,” he says. “If you’re looking for a breakfast or brunch sparkler, this is an awesome option.”
Sokol Blosser’s sparkling wine program was inspired by Susan Sokol Blosser’s love of sparkling wine. When her two children, Alex (currently President) and Alison (former co – president) stepped into leadership roles at the winery in 2008, they made a pact to become a grand house of high – quality sparkling wine in Willamette Valley. Today, Winemaker Robin Howell leads the sparkling program, crafting not only Bluebird Brut but also Blossom Ridge Sparkling Rosé of Pinot Noir and a Dundee Hills Blanc de Blancs.
