ABOUT CHANDON

CHANDON is LVMH’s sparkling-wine Maison, founded in Argentina in 1959 by Robert Jean de Vogüé, a pioneer with the vision to redefine the category and craft exceptional  sparkling wines in unexpected lands. Now spanning four continents, we have wineries in  Argentina, California, Brazil, Australia, China and India, making ours the largest  sparkling vineyard worldwide and the only domain on which the sun never sets.

From the very beginning, the multiplicity of places, ‘terroirs’, cultures, and communities  has taught us that diversity is a wealth, it is embedded in our DNA, and is also the  lynchpin of our sustainability initiatives. We, at CHANDON, are committed to preserve  our lands of diversity.

ABOUT CHANDON AUSTRALIA

Our Australian home was founded in 1986 in the beautiful Yarra Valley on Wurundjeri  Woi Wurrung Country. Since then, we have been crafting exceptional sparkling wine  drawing from the diverse richness of our lands and benefiting from the expertise of our  bold and passionate winemaking community worldwide.

OUR GLOBAL CHANDON ESTATES

CHANDON ARGENTINA, MENDOZA

CHANDON Argentina, born of Robert-Jean de Vogüé’s original vision, broke ground in  1959 in Mendoza in the Andean foothills. The estate now has three primary vineyard  sites with an area under vine of 400 hectares at an altitude comprised between 980 and  1700m above sea level, heights that would be considered extreme in most other wine  producing countries.

CHANDON CALIFORNIA, NAPA VALLEY

Forever alert to new terroirs, new possibilities and new challenges, CHANDON  gravitated to Napa, in 1973. Today, Domaine Chandon pushes the limits of the state of  the art to produce sparkling wines that are US market leaders from our three vineyards  located in Carneros, Mt Veeder and Yountville.

CHANDON BRAZIL, SERRA GAÚCHA

In 1973, Brazil’s Serra Gaúcha region, in the extreme South of the country, was  pinpointed on the CHANDON map. With its subtropical climate, high vineyard sites and  plentiful rainfall, our estate shows a range of microclimates that are like colours in a  paintbox for our winemakers.

CHANDON CHINA, NINGXIA

CHANDON China arrived on the scene in 2013, in Ningxia, the country’s top premium  winemaking region. Nestling at the foot of Helan Mountain, it took us almost 30 years to  settle in this new land and release our first CHANDON bottles. This spectacular place,  on the edge of a pristine wilderness presided over by rocky peaks, is one of the country’s  largest viticultural areas, now recognised domestically and internationally for the calibre  of its wine.

CHANDON INDIA, NASHIK

Nashik, in the Western Ghats mountain range, around 200km northeast of Mumbai, is  where you’ll find the youngest CHANDON sibling. India is our wild card and our latest  new frontier. The most recent member of the family was founded in 2014.
