LAKE BLUFF, IL (April 6, 2023) – Established in 1947, fourth generation family-owned and operated Terlato Wines today announced the promotion of Michael (Mike) McAvoy to the critical role of Divisional Vice President.
Mike has had an impressive Adult Beverage career. In 2006 he joined Breakthru Beverage as a Sales Representative. In the subsequent six years, he moved from sales to management, eventually becoming Director of Wine. In 2014 he transitioned to the supplier side of the business working for Treasury Wine Estates.
In 2016, Mike joined Terlato as Regional Sales Manager. In 2020, Mike transitioned to the role of National Trade Development Director for Executive Beverage where he had six direct reports and was responsible for developing brand plans and managing the distributor network in 40+ states.
With this new experience under his belt, Terlato encouraged Mike to rejoin the company as the Mid-Atlantic Region Manager in August 2022. He quickly excelled in creating opportunities and structure within the local market to achieve plan. Today, Mike’s accomplishments are being rewarded as he has been promoted to Divisional Vice President.

A native of the Baltimore Washington area, Mike received a BBA in Marketing and MBA from Loyola University of MD. He will report directly to Chris Miller and will be a valued member of Terlato’s Sales Leadership Team.
