Glen Rock, NJ, 3.21.23: Opici Wines & Spirits is excited to reintroduce its proprietary brand Alverdi as fully organic with an eye-catching new look.
Alverdi is known for producing traditional Italian wines, fresh and fruit-forward selections that are approachable and appropriate for any and all occasions. With consumers increasingly conscious of whether the brands they choose are environmentally friendly, Alverdi adjusted their winemaking philosophy to be non-GMO, 100% pesticide-free, using only organic fertilizers and environmentally responsible farming practices.
To celebrate this transition to organic, the entire line has been redesigned with a bright and eye-catching floral label signifying the emphasis on “Going Green.” The look is inspired by the flowers seen growing on building exteriors in Italian towns and villages. The style is immediately recognizable as authentic Italian – fitting for a brand that is produced and bottled for Opici Wines & Spirits by one of the oldest and most well-respected wine producers in the country.
“The name Alverdi literally translates into English as ‘to the green,’” said Don Opici, Managing Director of Opici Wines and Spirits. “We are finally taking our own advice and shifting the entire portfolio to an organic brand. The classic Italian varietals will remain with our continued emphasis on over-delivering on quality at an unbeatable price.”
The new packaging will roll out in April 2023. The current organic line includes Pinot Grigio, Barbera, and Sangiovese ($8.99 SRP) available in 750ml. Additionally, Alverdi offers the organic Pinot Grigio in both 1.5L glass and 3L bag in box. The launch will be supported by a sleek and user-friendly website, POS materials such as display racks to drive cases in a retail setting, and redesigned flow tools to match the new look and feel.
