Sonoma County Wine Auction logoSANTA ROSA, Calif. (September 12, 2022) — Foley Family Wines, named by the Sonoma County Vintners Foundation as the Honorary Chair for the 2022 Sonoma County Wine Auction (SCWA), will host the annual live event at Chalk Hill Estate Vineyards & Winery on September 17. Foley Family Wines (FFW) is also donating two major lots for live bidding.

The auction will take place in Chalk Hill’s open-air event space overlooking the 1,300-acre Healdsburg property, which is planted to 300 acres of sustainably farmed vineyards and four acres of organic culinary gardens. Founded in 1972, the winery helped to establish the Chalk Hill AVA as one of California’s top winegrowing regions.

“We’re thrilled to welcome SCWA guests to Chalk Hill while also celebrating the 50th anniversary of this iconic winery,” said vintner Bill Foley, founder and owner of Foley Family Wines (FFW) and proprietor of Chalk Hill Estate Vineyards & Winery. “We take pride not only in our history of winemaking and sustainability efforts but also in advocating for our local community. The funds raised during SCWA will be distributed by Sonoma County Vineyard Foundation to numerous Sonoma County nonprofits who work tirelessly to care for those most in need.”

Since SCWA’s inception, the auction has raised $39 million for local organizations supporting literacy, education, health and human services, the environment, and arts and culture.
