(August 2, 2022; Calistoga, Calif.)—Rich and Leslie Frank, co-founders of Frank Family Vineyards in Napa Valley, are proud to announce that Frank Family has been selected as the Santa Fe Wine and Chile Fiesta “Winery of the Year” from among more than 90 winery participants. “As Frank Family nears the celebration of its own 30th anniversary, having first opened our tasting room doors in 1993, we are thrilled to honor the history and evolution of the wine and hospitality industry alongside the Santa Fe Wine and Chile Fiesta,” says Leslie Frank.
Hosted at the historic Magers Field at Fort Marcy Park in Santa Fe, this year’s Fiesta will feature more than 60 restaurants and 90 wineries, with an expected 3,500 guests traveling to Santa Fe for the event. Frank Family Co-Founders Rich and Leslie Frank, as well as Director of Hospitality Liam Gearity will be in attendance and Frank Family wines will be highlighted at several events throughout the Fiesta’s five-day celebration, including a Thursday Wine Dinner at Saźon, the Live Auction and Guest Chef’s Luncheon, The Reserve Tasting, and the Grand Tasting. Gearity will also host a “Great Wine Happens Every Day” seminar on Friday, Sep. 23 alongside the Franks which will focus on the many ways Frank Family approaches Napa Valley’s two leading grape varieties: Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Founded in 1991 by New Mexico restaurant legends Mark Miller, Al Lucero and Gordon Heiss, the Santa Fe Wine and Chile Fiesta is today a world class wine and culinary destination event. What started as a one day event many years ago, has grown into a five day epicurean extravaganza. The festivities begin on Sep. 21-22 with a series of seminars, chef demos and winery dinners. Friday, Sep. 23 has been designated by the Fiesta as “Chile Friday,” featuring an afternoon of tasting great New Mexican food and local craft-beers served by over a dozen New Mexico Breweries. The festivities culminate with the Saturday Grand Tasting of 90 world-class wineries and bites from more than 60 of Santa Fe’s finest restaurants.
