America’s Most Awarded Winery Expands to Bend With World-Class Wine Lounge

DAYTON, Ore., January 19, 2022 – The world-renowned Domaine Serene Vineyards & Winery officially opened its Bend Wine Lounge in December 2021. This is the third wine lounge following Portland and Lake Oswego for the acclaimed vineyard and winery located in Oregon’s Dundee Hills in the famous Willamette Valley. The lounge offers a portfolio of highly acclaimed current releases and library wines from Domaine Serene in Oregon, alongside their globally recognized wines from Château de la Crée and Maison Evenstad, for bottle purchase and by the glass.

From curated wine flights, including the Sommelier Experience, to seasonally evolving dishes and exceptional wine-inspired food and events, the lounge brings Domaine Serene’s signature luxury wine experience to Central Oregon.

The historic space has been brought to new life, with design intricately woven with wood, metal, velvet, glass, and brick elements. The renovated location has been expertly crafted to accentuate intimate settings and building features, including the thoughtfully curated subterranean rooms “The Burgundy Underground” and “The Spirits Underground,” which are available for hosting private and semi-private parties and events.

“With the immense success of our first two Wine Lounges in Portland at the Sentinel Hotel and in Lake Oswego, we felt compelled to create a third truly exceptional, immersive wine experience for our members and wine lovers in Central Oregon,” says Ryan Harris, CEO and President of Domaine Serene. “Since its Grand Opening, our Domaine Serene Wine Lounge in Bend has been well received by the community and members alike. This is another way that we are changing the landscape of wine-focused hospitality experiences for new and avid wine enthusiasts alike.”

About Domaine Serene

The Evenstads settled in the Northern Willamette Valley in 1989. Their spirit and passion for producing wines that rival the great wines of Burgundy led them to purchase and plant a hilltop estate that had just been logged in the now-famous Dundee Hills.

Today, Domaine Serene produces wines from six individual vineyard estates, planted exclusively to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. In Oregon, the Evenstads own nearly 1,000 total acres of land in the hills of Yamhill County, with 300 acres planted to vine.

Working every job in the winery for many years, Grace and Ken Evenstad built Domaine Serene from the ground up, focusing on producing high-quality wines through innovation and excellence. The Evenstads have gained a genuine appreciation for the attention to detail required to make exceptional wines.

In 2015, Ken and Grace Evenstad fulfilled a lifelong dream of producing wine in Burgundy, France, by acquiring Château de la Crée, the respected wine estate located in the birthplace of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay: the renowned Côte d’Or. They own 25 acres of prime vineyards in Pommard, Volnay, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, Santenay and Maranges. Making them the first Oregon-based vintners to own land and produce wines in Burgundy.

In just under three decades, the Evenstads have propelled Domaine Serene onto the global stage as one of the world’s most acclaimed and respected wineries. Domaine Serene’s wines represent the achievement that is possible in Oregon, one of the finest regions in the world for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
