October 8, 2026 (New York, NY) — Asti DOCG is bringing the wines, heritage and contemporary spirit of Piedmont to New York this fall as Vinitaly USA returns to the city on October 26–27, following two previous editions in Chicago.
The event will offer U.S. trade and media the chance to experience the denomination through the Consortium and the presence of Asti DOCG producers, including Cadgal, Cascina Castlet, Terrabianca and Tenuta Langasco, among others, showcasing their Asti Spumante and Moscato d’Asti wines. At the Consortium booth (H18-I18), visitors will also be able to taste a broader selection of labels from producers across the denomination, while discovering the territory, traditions and people behind Asti DOCG.
As part of the New York program, the Consortium will also host a toast celebrating the introduction of Asti Rosé DOCG in the U.S. Following the toast held in April at Vinitaly in Verona, the celebration will continue in New York on Monday, October 26th at 4 PM at the Consortium’s booth (H18–I18), cheering to this new expression of Asti DOCG with producers, trade and media.
Made from Moscato Bianco and Brachetto grapes, Asti Rosé DOCG brings together the aromatic character of Moscato with the distinctive color and fresh, fruity profile of Brachetto. The new expression adds another dimension to the denomination while remaining rooted in the identity and traditions of its Piedmontese origins.
“Vinitaly USA is an important opportunity for us to show the American wine community just how diverse and dynamic Asti DOCG is today, while also introducing the people and territory behind our wines,” said Giacomo Pondini, Director of the Consorzio Asti DOCG. “This year is particularly significant for our denomination, from the recognition of Piedmont’s Wine of the Year to the introduction of Asti Rosé. Bringing this new expression to New York allows us to share another side of Asti DOCG while remaining deeply connected to what has always defined us.”
