June 14th – PLACERVILLE, CA: All grape growers, vintners and interested parties are invited to participate on Wednesday, June 23, at 6:30pm, for a Zoom discussion with guest speaker Steve Matthiasson of Matthiasson Wines. Matthiasson will address his experience and wine quality results using organic and regenerative winegrowing techniques.

About Steve: 

Steve Matthiasson is the owner of Matthiasson Wines. He has been named Winemaker of the Year by both Food and Wine Magazine and the San Francisco Chronicle,. His is a co-author of the California Code of Sustainable Winegrowing and author of the Lodi Winegrowers Workbook. Steve operates his own vineyard management consulting company (Premiere Viticulture) and is a sought-after viticultural consultant for premium clients such as Araujo, Dalla Valle, Spottswoode, David Arthur, Chappellet, and Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars. All vineyards farmed for Matthiasson’s wines are either certified organic or currently in process of the multi-year certification process. Steve incorporates regenerative farming practices as way to create healthy, living soils and positive environmental impact and champions these techniques as he guides future generations of farmers.
