February 10th – Danielle Cyrot has been building on her impressive resume with highly rated Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc that stands tall with the very best in Napa Valley. She recently opened 13th Vineyard by CADE, restoring a historic property that dates to 1886 (and was the 13th bonded winery in the Napa Valley) and is considered one of Napa’s most innovative, sustainability-minded winemakers. Her work has helped define the next generation of luxury wine packaging, dismantling the status quo and reframing screw caps as not only an acceptable closure for high end wine – but one collectors should actively seek out.

CADE Estate Winery, the first organically farmed LEED Gold Certified estate winery in Napa Valley, is known for their award winning wine and incredible views.  At an elevation of 1800 feet, CADE Estate Winery sits high above the fog line on the dramatic slopes of Howell Mountain, just northeast of the town of St. Helena, and blends right in with the impressive contrasts of their estate, a spot where cultivated vineyard rows meet tall evergreens and native Manzanita trees, all set against a backdrop of staggering Napa Valley vistas for a visitor experience not soon forgotten.

Colleen FitzGerald spent several years working harvests in New Zealand, Paso Robles, and Napa Valley before joining the Pine Ridge Vineyards team full time in 2015. She works closely with growers to make decisions about pruning, vine management, and harvest timing for the Chenin Blanc + Viognier program. In the cellar, she sees these wines through fermentation and blending.

While CB+V started as an experimental bottling, the wine has become a beloved favorite, as well as a new sparkling version that was launched in 2020, marking Pine Ridge’s first added label in 25 years. Sourced from the Clarksburg appellation in California, CB+V is an aromatic white blend boasting a bouquet of honeysuckle, lemon lime, yuzu, and ginger spice. The wine’s affordable price (SRP: $16), low ABV of 11.7%, lively flavor and accessibility in numerous markets make it the perfect refreshing beverage for any occasion.

Established in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley in 1978, Pine Ridge Vineyards is known for producing expressive Cabernet Sauvignons that are artfully crafted from the winery’s estate vineyards across five renowned appellations: Stags Leap District, Howell Mountain, Oakville, Rutherford, and Carneros.
