PLACERVILLE, CA: As of October 12, 2020, the El Dorado County wine grape harvest marches forward with varieties at different elevations continuing to ripen. Most importantly, the majority of grapes have not been effected by wildfire smoke or ash. In addition, the cooler evenings have helped to slow the ripening process. This hang-time will further develop the flavors and complexities of our Sierra Foothill varieties.

Currently, there are 25 different varieties listed for sale in El Dorado County. This wide variety is a hallmark of El Dorado County grape growers and highlights our County’s diversity of altitudes, soil types and topography. Grapes from El Dorado enhance wine portfolios in wine regions across the US. This listing is distributed to winemakers and wine organizations all over America and is also advertised in wineindustry.com.
