Three Sticks Wines Launches Chef Series – Three Sticks Together

Sonoma, CA (May 13, 2020) – After the success of their first Three Sticks Together Benefit Concert, Three Sticks Wines is excited to continue their virtual presence with a series of webinars. The Chef Series is a collaboration between some of California’s renowned chefs and Three Sticks proprietors, where they’ll focus on the importance of businesses helping each other in a time of deep economic crisis. At the heart is goodwill through community, wine, and food.

The series will begin Thursday, May 14th at 5:30 PM with Chef Kyle Connaughton of SingleThread in a conversation with Three Sticks founder and proprietor Bill Price to discuss their 2018 Durell Vineyard Pinot Blanc, SingleThread’s business and a Three Sticks partnership with Sonoma Family Meal.

“We reached out to our founding culinary partners from our Adobe Storehouse Supper Series, all of whom are pillars in the local and broader restaurant community and they jumped on board,” says Co-Founder and GM, Prema Behan. “We’re joining efforts as we continue to think of ways to operate differently, connect with our community and give back.”

The expected format for the series is to come together on Thursdays at 5:30 pm for a 20-30-minute engaging conversation on Zoom, discuss delicious cuisine while enjoying Three Sticks wines.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Three Sticks wines is being donated to Sonoma Family Meal, feeding the food insecure, and employing restaurant workers. With additional contributions and direct meal delivery programs, there is a goal of reaching $20,000 to support their good work.

The current health crisis has catapulted many businesses, wineries and chefs alike, into the virtual world. By utilizing social platforms, such as Zoom, Facebook, and Instagram Live, wineries, and restaurateurs continue to engage fans and create community over an internet connection.

Three Sticks Wines

Three Sticks Wines is a boutique, family-owned winery led by namesake and vineyard owner, Bill Price, and winemakers Bob Cabral and Ryan Prichard. Three Sticks’ is characterized by commitment to site specific wines, stewardship of land, people and history, and a down to earth approach to business and life. They craft small-lot, artisanal wines from six grand cru level Estate vineyards in Sonoma County, including Durell Vineyard, Gap’s Crown Vineyard and Walala Vineyard. Founded in 2002, the winery is named for owner William S. Price III’s surfing nickname, “Billy Three Sticks,” which was assigned to him in his youth as a reference to the three Roman numerals that follow his name. The Vallejo-Casteñada Adobe (built in 1842 and home to Three Sticks Wines hospitality), was constructed by Captain Salvador Vallejo, brother of General Mariano Guadalupe Vallejo, the Comandante Générale of the northern territory of Mexico (modern day Sonoma). Bill and Eva Price purchased the property in 2012 and embarked on a two-year preservation project. The Three Sticks team worked closely with Sonoma historians and the Sonoma League for Historic Preservation to restore and protect the historic fabric of the property.
