Frank Family Vineyards, Chappellet Winery, and Regusci Winery join together to offer “Napa Neighbors” tasting experience moderated by Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson

(May 5, 2020; Napa Valley, Calif.)—Rich Frank of Frank Family Vineyards, Cyril Chappellet of Chappellet Winery and Jim Regusci of Regusci Winery have partnered to bring the Wine Country spirit to wine lover’s homes with a “Napa Neighbors” virtual tasting to take place on Saturday, May 16 at 2:00 pm PST/5:00 pm EST.

The experience offers a rare opportunity to visit and taste with the owners of three iconic, family-owned wineries. Participants will hear first-hand about life among the vines in the Napa Valley and learn about the rich history of each winery, with a chance to ask questions and have a conversation with these Napa Valley greats. The tasting will be moderated by world-renowned Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson, providing an intimate journey through three storied Napa Valley growing regions for Cabernet Sauvignon—Stags Leap District, Rutherford and Pritchard Hill, as well as cool-climate regions ideal for Chardonnay including the Petaluma Gap and Carneros AVAs.

“When people visit us in Wine Country, they typically visit several wineries in one day, so we wanted to translate the complete Napa experience to a virtual medium,” says owner and proprietor of Frank Family Vineyards, Rich Frank.  “We are excited to collaborate with our neighbors and good friends on Pritchard Hill and in the Stags Leap District to showcase a few of the great regions of the Napa Valley and to spend time with the visitors we miss welcoming into our tasting rooms.”

The tasting will include six wines, a Chardonnay and a Cabernet Sauvignon from each winery.

These include:

  • 2018 Frank Family Lewis Vineyard Carneros Chardonnay
  • 2018 Chappellet Petaluma Gap Calesa Vineyard Chardonnay
  • 2018 Regusci Carneros Chardonnay
  • 2017 Frank Family RHF Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 2017 Chappellet Signature Cabernet Sauvignon, Pritchard Hill
  • 2017 Regusci The Elders Cabernet Sauvignon, Stags Leap District

Those interested can register to participate here. No purchase is necessary to participate in the virtual tasting, but to enhance the experience, registered participants are encouraged to acquire the wines and may do so on any of the winery websites:

About the wineries:
Frank Family Vineyards first opened its tasting room doors in 1993. Owned by former Disney Studios president Rich Frank, and Emmy-award winning journalist, Leslie Frank, Frank Family owns over 380 acres of vineyards in the Napa Valley, and is best known for its Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignons and its Carneros Chardonnays.

Just a 20-minute drive down valley and rising from 800 to 1,800 feet above sea level, Chappellet Vineyard on Pritchard Hill has earned acclaim for yielding grapes that produce mountain-grown wines of rare depth, longevity and elegance. Since being founded in 1967, Chappellet has established Pritchard Hill as one of California’s most revered winegrowing regions.

Further down the valley in the Stags Leap District lies the oldest family ranch in the AVA, Regusci Winery. A leading producer of limited production Estate wines that express turn-of-the-century Napa Valley, Regusci is home to sustainable gardens and one of California’s only Ghost Wineries, built in 1878.
